Warning Signs That Your Elderly May Need Help
1. Poor grooming (stains on clothes, infrequent bathing)
2. Difficulty walking/unsteady on feet/falling
3. Changes in eating habits (one meal a day, snacks vs. a nutritious meal)
4. Sudden mood changes (angry, suspicious, paranoid)
5. Signs of depression (not sleeping, not eating, no energy)
6. Poor or decreased judgment (burners left on the stove)
7. Reluctance to socialize. Loss of initiative or lack of interest (stop participating in social, church, or volunteer activities)
8. Increased forgetfulness (missed doctor’s appointments, family events)
